That was an unimaginative title and this is not a good intro. My name is Aaron (he chose not to give his full name, citing fears of reprisal from senior officials within the White House), and I might be a junior majoring in mechanical engineering. Although I could be a sophomore, it’s a little unclear. See, I actually already have a degree, but it’s just an associate’s degree in Liberal Studies from MONTCO, where I graduated in 2016. I enrolled at Temple in the fall of 2017, and when I was signing up for classes during the orientation the DARS audit believed I was a junior, and yet didn’t project me to graduate until 2021, although I’m pretty sure I’ll be able to graduate in 2020. So I have no idea what year I am, but I’m a student at Temple regardless.

About this whole blogging thing. I’m not personally big on any form of social media. Rather, I’m not very active on social media. I’ve had a Twitter account since 2012, and yet I’ve never tweeted. Not once. Even still, for some reason I still spend probably too much time glued to my phone. I just don’t understand the appeal of shouting into the void, even though I myself am a proud denizen of the void. Despite this, I do kind of like the concept. Another thing I like is taking assignments in a slightly different direction than what was perhaps intended to make it more interesting for me. I haven’t thought of any direction to take this one yet. I think I will, however, so I’m cautiously optimistic. I’ve been noodling around with the idea of building a 3D printer from scratch, so maybe if I make this blog partially about documenting my progress then it will give me the kick in the pants I need to actually build it. But since this is just supposed to be an introductory blog post and this is the last sentence in it, any further noodling will have to wait until next week.
