What I never understood about 3-D is what it was supposed to add to the experience. I mean, yeah there’s some distance between the foreground and background characters…so what? It doesn’t make the cinematography, story or action scenes any better. I’m sure I would have dug it a lot as a kid…but I still don’t think it would have made me think a bad movie was any better. It just didn’t really enhance the movie going experience. It just made it cost more and made the picture dimmer. In some cases, it made the movie less immersive because I was watching it wearing bad sunglasses.
