Greetings Mr President.

Edward Snowden has been called many things. Hero, Traitor, Advocate, Rebel.

The truth is, he fought for one thing. To get the truth out.

His actions, helped shine a light in a reality that is already too clouded by the interests of powerful and influential people.

Like Prometheus before him, Snowden shared with humanity the biggest power there is, Knowledge. And just like Prometheus, he now faces the consequences of sharing such power.

Please forgive him.

We ask of only one thing. Courage.

Mr. President, we, citizens of the Free World, ask that you have courage to change history. To tolerate this sharing of knowledge instead of punishing it.

Just do it.

Be it your last action in office. Be it as soon as you hear this message.

Just do it.

History will remember, and so will the people. The day that the leader of the Free World stood for something, or the day that he decided to look the other way.
