New original programming highlights for August include the premiere of Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the LA Rams, the finale of the buzzy crime series The Night Of, and two new documentaries: Meet the Donors: Does Money Talk, in which intrepid filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi takes viewers behind the scenes at top-dollar political fundraisers, and Hitchcock/Truffaut, which revisits a week-long 1962 conversation between Francois Truffaut and Alfred Hitchcock, in which the great British director discussed his career film-by-film with his young French admirer. Directors including Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, Wes Anderson, James Gray, Richard Linklater and Paul Schrader discuss the impact of the resulting book of the same name, which debuted 50 years ago in August.

Late original programming additions for July that were not included in last month’s memo include all three seasons of Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, a 1990s HBO animated series based on the iconic comic book character, and a new weekly Spanish-language late-night talk show, Chumel con Chumel Torres, in which the most relevant events and characters from Mexico and Latin America will be exposed through a sharp lens where anything goes. Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is available to stream now. The first episode of Chumel con Chumel Torres debuts July 25, with new episodes debuting Monday nights.

Departing movies include Mad Max: Fury Road, Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
