I, too, love the idea behind contextual Responses on Medium; I like how it allows you to pick and choose specific bits of a piece that resonated for you to add commentary (no matter how long or concise) that is contextually relevant.

I wholly agree that there should be a better way for a user to be able to visually discern between one’s posts and one’s responses.

On that note, looking at the stuff going on under the hood, I think there’s some work needed to separate the stats for posts and responses, respectively.
