Havas Sports & Entertainment USA Names Daniel Dao as EVP, Managing Director
New York, NY — OCTOBER 17, 2017
In his new role, Daniel will lead HSE to deliver insight and innovative ideas to its portfolio of clients that include The Coca-Cola Company, LVMH, Harley-Davidson and Delta.
With 15 years of experience, Daniel has led some of the industry’s most famous sports and entertainment activations. He has worked in over 70 countries, crisscrossing the globe more times than he can count on behalf of projects including the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour and the Olympic Torch Relay.
“Daniel’s progressive leadership style, combined with his boundary-pushing big ideas and deep passion, makes him the ideal person to lead the HSE team and expand the agency’s global business in North America as Mikey Hersom steps down as President of HSE,” says Colin Kinsella, CEO Havas Media Group, North America.
In his multi-decade career, Mikey played a key role in defining experiential marketing by leading pioneering execution of some of the world’s most coveted and logistically challenging sports and entertainment activations.
“Above all, Mikey has positively impacted the lives of thousands of young people around the world,” adds Colin. “We wish him the best of luck in his next endeavor and look forward to seeing what Daniel and the team will continue to achieve for HSE.”
Daniel will collaborate closely with Mikey to ensure a seamless transition, guaranteeing that HSE’s clients receive the same creativity and dedication they have come to expect. A solid core leadership team — comprised of Brad Jansen, EVP, Partnerships, Strategy & Creative, and Amanda Daniels, EVP, Client Services & Production — surrounds Daniel. Stacy Fuller is transitioning to the media side of the business for both Global and North America.
