22nd of January is Moss celebration day
I was looking at twitter on the 22nd, and figured out that the French revolution, not only led to a change in politics. They also installed a new calendar based on science and the love for nature and arts. It is known as the The French Republican calendar.
Every day of the year is devoted to a natural thing, like the 26th of September is horse day, and 1st of January is clay day. And following this tradition almost everything found in nature found its way into this calendar. Even the mosses, on the 22nd of January was the official moss celebration day.
The calendar was only used for a short decade, since the church was not in favour of this. It was lacking all the important dates they thought. But that should not stop us from celebrating different things on selected days from this old calendar. With this day we had a sale going on at Mosspiration, and it was a good one.
