We are now less than one week out from HUBweek 2016 and are excited to share one of our final announcements as the countdown begins. Dozens of new, incredibly impressive speakers and programming focused on improving inclusivity in innovation have joined the lineup for HUBweek. Here’s your rundown:

3. A conversation on talent in Boston and how we develop a more agile and inclusive workforce

Boston is often considered the world’s university, the place where tomorrow’s change makers get their start. At HUB Presents: Building and Growing a 21st Century Career, Northeastern President Joseph Aoun, HubSpot CEO Brian Halligan, and Care.com Co-Founder Donna Levin will discuss how the city’s robust higher education landscape and innovation ecosystem uniquely create the more agile and inclusive workforce the 21st century demands, and the ways in which we will need to continue to adapt. This session will take place in Faneuil Hall and will be moderated by The Boston Globe’s Shirley Leung.

4. A new opportunity to connect with Boston’s innovation ecosystem, one-on-one

Designed to break down barriers and connect up-and-coming leaders, the curious, and those making an impact around the city, Lunch with Change Makers is a one-of-a-kind event that pairs a local Change Maker with 5 guests around the table at lunch. Dozens of Change Makers are participating, from venture capitalists and CEOs to urban space visionaries and neurologists. The only requirement? Curiosity and the willingness to engage in an interesting conversation.

This announcement of the next round of speakers and events, alongside previously announced programming, forms the backbone of this year’s inclusive innovation theme, presented by Bank of America. Existing events include Leading a Technology Company: A Woman’s Perspective, hosted by Golden Seeds and the Babson Breakway Challenge, both part of Demo Day; The Girl Hackathon; What Works: Designing Inclusive Organizations; Expanding Opportunity in the Digital Age and the Women in Innovation Story Slam: Ah Ha Moments.

Exploring these important topics, and many more, as a community would also not have been possible without the generous contributions of time and resources by the HUBweek 2016 Leadership Alliance, comprised of HubSpot, Northeastern University, the Museum of Science, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and our HUBweek Innovators Circle sponsors, the Highland Street Foundation and WorldQuant.

By bringing together some of the brightest minds in the world to tackle these issues together, we’re looking forward to not only showcasing the solutions, but also celebrating the results that can occur when we collaborate. More details on these events and other HUBweek 2016 events and activities can be found at HUBweek.org. Registration is open now.
