I might come off as slightly insane, but I don’t like the current logo at all (not the original one either). I liked the green logo much better.
The color green symbolizes learning and harmony, and it relates to stability and endurance – which really suits the Medium brand.
To me, green represents courage and balance, and it made Medium stand out to other platforms/social networks/apps, while the “new” logo looks like Instapaper. Or an anonymous printed magazine. Or something else pretending to be a “good old fashioned” paper product when it’s not (and shouldn’t pretend to be).
Ah well, good thing I love Medium for the content. As long as the content remains indispensable, the logo could be a macaroni for all I care. 🤷🏽♀️
