To me it’s the exact opposite. I’ve come to minimize my use of Facebook, and for two full years I didn’t even have the iOS app installed (I re-installed it recently because of the horrible mobile version — I just couldn’t take it anymore).

Even though I’m still slightly more “addicted” to Twitter than Facebook, I have deactivated all notifications from both networks. Actually, Medium is the only social media app I allow sending me occasional notifications, and the first thing I do when installing new apps is to disallow notifications.

I highly recommend it!
