Yes, it still is — but for how long? What do you think is more likely: that the amount of online editors in the newsrooms stagnates, shrinks, or swells in the next 5–10 years? That’s my point.

The skills that are sought after in modern newsrooms are multitasking, and the ability to broaden your set of skills. Five or six years ago, knowing social media wasn’t even considered a skill in the newsroom. Now it’s one of the most sought after skills of all.

And just two years ago, no one in Sweden had even heard of the terms “Push Team” and “Newsletter Editor”.
