The Return of HackTM

Spring is here, and with it comes news of the biggest software & hardware hackathon in South-Eastern Europe!

Currently at its fourth edition, HackTM will be held in between the 26th and 28th of May, at the UPT Cafeteria, same spot as last year.

What is HackTM?

HackTM is a one-weekend open hackathon, proposing to be the biggest one in South-Eastern Europe, bringing together over 300 hackers, geeks, freelancers, employees, students, CoderDojo Kids, designers, basically any talented and creative individual with interest in IT.

With the help of experienced mentors coming from various tech companies and with different technological backgrounds, participants can work on their proposed ideas and come up with award-winning projects!

What’s different this year?

In 2016, the third edition of HackTM had 8 different categories you could sign up your project for. Each category had its own set of mentors, judges and prizes.

This year though, we’re switching things up a bit.

We’ve removed the categories and made way for a completely open hackathon. This means that participants can register to compete and win various Sponsor Prizes based on the companies’ public criteria or for the Grand Prize.

The Grand Prize will be given to that one winner to rule them all at HackTM2017! We’ll have a special jury selected for this purpose, but we’re also giving everybody the chance to vote for their favorite project.

That’s right, for the first time since its inception, you can vote for the winning project!

The prizes and criteria will be announced on our website shortly, so stay tuned for more information!

Don’t forget about HackTalks!

If you liked last year’s HackTalks, then you’re definitely going to love this year’s event!

Friday, May 26th, is reserved for a series of technical and entrepreneurial presentations as well as plenty of networking opportunities! HackTalks will bring you plenty of awesome speakers from all areas of IT, Design, Marketing and more, to fill your curiosity and answer your questions about the latest tech trends!
