netplwiz is a command-line utility in Microsoft Windows operating systems that allows a user to manage user accounts and user account settings on a computer. It opens the "User Accounts" window, which allows you to perform a variety of tasks related to user accounts, including:

  • Adding new user accounts
  • Changing the name or password of a user account
  • Setting up a user account to log on automatically at startup
  • Changing the user account type (e.g. administrator or standard user)
  • Removing user accounts

To use the netplwiz utility, open a command prompt and type netplwiz followed by the appropriate options and arguments. For example, to open the "User Accounts" window, you would simply type netplwiz and press Enter.

Here are some examples of other tasks you can perform with netplwiz:

  • To add a new user account, type netplwiz, click the "Add" button, and follow the prompts to create the new user account.
  • To change the name or password of a user account, select the user account from the list, click the “Properties” button, and make the necessary changes.
  • To set up a user account to log on automatically at startup, select the user account from the list, click the “Properties” button, and check the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” box.
  • To change the user account type, select the user account from the list, click the “Properties” button, and select the appropriate account type from the “Group membership” drop-down menu.
  • To remove a user account, select the user account from the list and click the “Remove” button.

Keep in mind that you must have administrative privileges to use the netplwiz utility and perform these tasks.
