when building a brand … it’s important to give your product a personality.
objects don’t have a gender in English, but they do in other languages.
choosing a gender for your product early on will have a large effect on your design process at a subconscious level.
in Italian car = l’auto is femine.
if a car is a woman … should it look more like a Lamborghini or a Ferrari?
clearly this is a matter of personal opinion …
if your personal opinion is in alignment with your designer on day one, your design process will be a much happier and smoother one.
