REBNY’s New York Commercial Professional Graduate Designation

Hal Shapiro is a business executive based in Scarsdale, NY. Since 2001, he has served as the senior director of Winick Realty Group, LLC, a real estate company based in New York City. As a professional in the NY real estate industry, Hal Shapiro maintains an active membership in the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
Established in 1996, REBNY was the state’s first trade association for the real estate industry. It serves over 17,000 members through a wide range of advocacy and educational programs designed to meet professional needs.
Among the numerous advantages of REBNY membership is access to the wide range of licensing programs offered by the organization. One such program is the New York Commercial Professional (NYCP) graduate designation. Created by REBNY’s Commercial Board of Directors, this designation ensures that members receive relevant continuing education that will enhance their skills in the trade.
To be considered for the designation, prospects must complete 48.5 hours of coursework, which is divided into five core courses and three elective courses. Once the educational requirements are completed, NYCP recipients are allowed to use the designation to boost their resumes and business efforts.
