Q1: As a senior member of this community, like many others, I have deep feelings for the KuCoin brand. I think everyone will be curious to know what is driving the team to promote this brand upgrade and what unique significance does it have to the Halo Wallet?
Jeff: Yes, I believe there are many loyal users of KuCoin in the community. We are also very grateful for the support that KuCoin Exchange has provided to us along the way, including technology, team, brand, and traffic.
It has helped us to grow into a million users and access 7 EVM public chains in less than one year. Support tens of thousands of Token and NFT displays and highly secure encrypted wallets.
However, with the explosion of investment opportunities in DeFi, NFT, GameFi, and other areas, we hope to help users take advantage of the first wave of Web3 industry dividends. Wallet tools that only provide cryptocurrency management are no longer suitable for the current application scenario.
Based on the urgent demand for product function upgrading and in order to give the team more freedom to develop and play in new fields, we decided to push forward this brand upgrade. This marks the opening up of Halo Wallet to more investment institutions and embraces more top partners in the Web3 space! Although we are currently operating independently, we will continue to have a good relationship with KuCoin Ecology and continue to provide quality products and experiences to our users. This will remain unchanged.
Q2: Among the many narratives in the Web3 space, why did Halo go in the direction of social finance (SocialFi)?
Jeff: That’s a good question! As an entry point into the Web3 world for users around the globe, we hope that Crypto Wallets will help users earn more excess returns in addition to being an essential investment tool.
A surmountable amount of data analysis platforms and tools on the chain already exists, but massive social information and industry leaders’ comments are also important references for the Crypto industry investment, which has become a breakthrough for us to provide users with unique value.

We analyse the readability of all on-chain transactions, and push the dynamics of on-chain transactions to users in the fastest and most timely manner through the most comprehensive analytical classification in the industry. By accessing this content, users can keep abreast of the latest market trends and thus improving the quality of their investment decisions.
Meanwhile, Halo Wallet will integrate major on-and-off social protocols such as Lens and twitter to create a true Web3 DID to interact with your favorite influencers.
On the other hand, we will gradually hand over the governance rights of SocialFi ecology to the community in the near future. Through the governance mode of DAO, we will encourage more creators and users to explore trading opportunities and innovate financial models together, and become the most active SocialFi ecology in the world.

Q4: I’m sure we’ve heard about Halo Wallet funding news recently. What stage of financing is the company in? Could you disclose the specific amount of financing to us?
Jeff: For now, we can only disclose that the Series A round was led by KuCoin Ventures, followed by the likes of IDG and HashKey. Since this round of financing had not been fully closed, we have yet to disclose the exact amount.
However, based on the current financing situation, the team can run orderly for more than 3 years at least.

Q5: Has the team changed since the Halo Wallet brand upgrade?
Jeff: No, we haven’t. Halo Wallet has retained a lean team of 35. In less than a year, KuCoin Wallet has achieved remarkable results that demonstrate the ability of the team to operate efficiently.
At present, the core members of the team have been in business for more than 5 years and have experienced several rounds of baptism in the bull and bear markets. These experiences enable us to calmly face the changes in the industry, get rid of the FOMO sentiment of the market, and focus on product construction for a long time.
Currently, all members are located in different countries and regions around the world, including Singapore, Europe, and so on. At the same time, we are actively recruiting more top talents in the Web3 field, welcoming global elites to join!
