Handson Startup Tour Europe 2016 announces the finalists

16 startups from eight europeans countries will dispute €1.25 million in funding and one week in Silicon Valley.

Paris — November 21, 2016 — The HandsOn Startup Tour 2016 today announced the 16 finalists for the HandsOn Startup Tour Europe 2016 competition. In addition to a 1 week immersed trip to Silicon Valley, €1.25 Million in Funding from Partech Ventures and Lemonblood was added as a prize to this year’s competition winners as a way to highlight the most innovative technology trends in the startup community around European community. HandsOn Startup Tour 2016 takes place in November 24 at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie — AUDITORIUM 30, Avenue Corentin Cariou 75019, Paris, France at 6PM.

Now in its third edition, HandsOn Startup Tour contest brings together leading startups from around the Europe to present their innovations to a live audience and panel of experts including entrepreneurs, investors and industry influencers.

From more than 4 hundred applications received this year, 16 finalists were chosen across 14 industries: Big data, education, food & drink, hardware, cleantech, fintech, security, transport and so on.

For Rodrigo Barros, serial entrepreneur, speaker and CEO of HandsOn.TV, the Startup Tour only begins with the pitch competition and the visibility and opportunities to meet with investors it implies. For the startup founders, the value relies on the experience itself, during and after the event. In each cities, candidates benefit from an intense rehearsal session from Rodrigo itself as a way to improve their presentation skills.

Notable judges this year include SrVP Ecommerce Carrefour Online, David Schwarz; General Partner at Partech Ventures, Romain Lavault; CEO lemonblood, Antonio Gatti. The Startup Tour judges will lend their wealth of experience and knowledge in startup, technology and creative fields to select winners.

A diverse range of prominent entrepreneurs were chosen based on their startup business, innovation, scalability, execution potential, team, the quality of pitch as well as overall industry experience. Check all finalists:
