I don’t have more respect for people who are “spiritual” than those who say they’re religious. Organized religion is certainly a pox on our culture, but people with obscure beliefs not part of a mainstream religion are not given a pass.
Explain why a sincere belief in the absurd warrants “respect”?
I will give you that no non-maintream religious people I know are straight up awful like the Catholic Church, Mormons, oppressive sexist Islam, etc.
