I have to assume that his response is BS. If I was the head of a company and heard about this, I wouldn’t go hire a lawyer. I’d go straight to the people mentioned in the emails. I’d ask the former employee for her evidence for the events and approach those people directly and fire them if they confirmed that they ignored her. It doesn’t take an investigation and dozens of people to root out the problem. Their reaction is just to buy time.
