Are you a “breed-ist”?

“We CAN dissuade people from buying puppies”

“Have your counter-attack ready”

I find it concerning that you would feel the need to be so defensive as to plot a counter-attack against anyone who simply wishes to have a puppy, much less a family who feels it would be productive and possibly a wonderful learning adventure and tool for their child and family. What a missed opportunity for you to help educate the public fully. You seem to be doing fabulous when it comes to directing potential pet owners to adult animals in need of homes but very poorly for those who desire pups. Why not be 100% educated and open to all possibilities yourself so you can pass on insightful and helpful information on to those who do choose the route of owning a new puppy instead of attacking them with twisted and false information.

“a puppy is WORK, HARD work”

Yes, so are babies, jobs, buying homes and repairing our vehicles but we do all of them. Puppies are work but there are numerous reasons people prefer to purchase a puppy over an adult dog. When an individual takes the time to research and seek out an excellent breeder they will get something you can never get from any rescue or shelter. You can meet the parents of your puppy and get to know their temperament, know the environment your puppy is coming from, see a complete pedigree several generations back and any and all health issues from parents, grandparents, g-grandparents etc and all of their litters and siblings. You will receive a health guarantee for you puppy and personal lifetime support from your breeder including being able to return it any time should your life situation alter drastically and it become impossible for you to continue in its care.
