You are wrong Minhaaj Rehman. Her words did not belittle women. It did however highlight the fact that it is common in many cultures for women to be expected to carry the burden of men’s actions. Jewel’s story showed how strong women have had and continue to be because men are taught that they are incapable of self control. It is men who refuse to take personal responsibility for their actions and control their own urges who belittle your ‘sisters and mothers’.
