I feel for you, dude. It’s an easy thing to get caught up in, feeling like you HAVE to make twitch your life. It’s what everyone else is shooting for!

A couple years ago I found myself streaming for longer and longer when my viewer count was on the rise. I felt guilty if my stream was less than 10 hours, and I never stopped to eat.

I feel miles better after setting myself to a more reasonable schedule and just accepting whatever comes of that. I get far less viewers now and will probably need a “regular” job to make up the difference, but having time to catch up on other responsibilities, pursue other interests, and just relax is invaluable.

I won’t tell anyone to give up on their dreams, but don’t let dreams become obsessions that eat away at you and your life. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you HAVE to “make it.” Take care of yourself.

I love games and people. Mostly known for the games bit, though.
