Japanese Apple ID Creation
Creating an Apple ID for the Japanese App Store without creating a new e-mail
So I have been addicted to playing a mobile game called Puzzle and Dragons, and I have been keeping notice on the Japanese version and the USA version of the game. It turns out the Japanese version is very generous in giving out stones (premium currency) and more regularly occurring collabs.
Requirements
- An email account (I’m using the same one as my USA Apple ID)
- A computer
- iTunes
- The iOS device you will be playing on.
Instructions
1. Open iTunes.
2. Sign out of your iTunes account if you are currently signed in.
3. Go to the store. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and you should see a flag of a country. Click on it. Now select Japan as from the countries listed.
4. Afterward search for Puzzle & Dragons (you can write it in English it won’t matter) and click the app and press buy.
5. Click “Create Apple ID”. “Free” should be preselected for you. Leave the gift card area blank.
6. Enter your email address. If you’re using the same one as your USA email then just add a “+jp” at the end.
Email for USA Apple ID: johndoe@gmail.com
Email for Japan Apple ID: johndoe+jp@gmail.com
7. Enter a password. Enter any name you choose.
8. Under phonetic pronunciation copy paste “トクメイ” without the quotes.
9. Postal info. If this doesn’t work, then look up the address of a hotel or restaurant in Japan.
Postal Code: 100–0006
Drop down box: “Tokyo”
Box right of Tokyo: “Chiyoda-ku”
Address: “123 Nowhere Road” (Leave the rest blank)
Phone: 080 55555555
10. Take note of your email and password.
11. On your device, go to Settings -> iTunes & App Store.
12. Click on your username and sign out.
13. Sign in with the new account.
14. Download PAD.
15. Sign out and sign back into your regular Apple ID.
