I would like to challenge you with something.
When you say the word “love”, it is an eternal promise.
1 Cor 13 says
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER ENDS.
Love is a forever thing. When we say “I love you” it has weight. Eternal weight. Jesus says in Mathew we shall be judged by every vain word we say. Vain means empty or void of power and meaning. Love is serious. When I say, “I love you bro” to one of my guy friends for example, I’m commiting to be a brother to them forever. When I tell my future girl I love her, I am commiting to sacrificing (love=sacrifice) for her forever. I take love VERY seriously. I would encourage you to do the same.
REMEMBER; loving someone and wanting someone is quite different. Wanting someone is a feeling, but loving someone is a choice of eternal sacrifice. This is why it says "for God so loved… that he gave (sacrifice)".
