DIGESTION, ENZYMES, AND FOODS TO HEAL:

Over 70% of people have digestive distress which can manifest in other ways not related to the digestive system. Some of the more common symptoms:

Tired after eating

Constant hunger

Salt and sugar cravings

psoriasis/eczema

gall stones

IBS

Numerous diseases have a root cause of digestive stress.

We need a plant based, whole foods diet, well digested, to maintain homeostasis and arm us against chronic illness.

Live foods have naturally occurring enzymes, but most of us eat too much cooked foods and pasteurized dairy. This leads to inflammatory and immune responses, as the food is missing the “life” component of it.

In addition to eating more raw foods, you can use select foods that help the body’s system with digestion, such as raw organic apple cider vinegar (ACV). The pectin in the vinegar will improve digestion and support good bacteria. Have a glass of water with a tablespoon of ACV 15 minutes before a meal, or make a big salad each day, dressed with ACV, and have it before lunch and dinner. If the kids don’t like it, you can put their preferred dressing over it to mask the flavor. Sneaky, but if they’re hungry they’ll eat it.

** Chew well !!

Spices not to leave out:

Ayurvedic medicine has the research to show that the spices used for thousands of years aids the digestive system’s natural intelligence. Add to your diet daily:

CARDAMOM, GINGER, CUMIN, CORIANDER, AND FENNEL.

As a supplement, Juice Plus fruit and vegetable capsules have a gentle balance of added enzymes that support digestion and absorption.

It’s not what we’re eating that’s important, it’s what we’re absorbing!

To your health!!

Love and light,

Lucy
