I think poets, comedians, philosophers, etc. all examine life a bit more closely than others, but it’s a solitary situation a lot of times, so some of the joys at the subtle intricacies of life are enjoyed alone for lack of someone else similarly appreciative. That close examination also reveals the inevitable heartbreak of the human condition, no matter what we do.
