Thank you, Willow :) I had/have a tendency towards somewhat “flowery” verse and I’ve enjoyed the word play and the taste of a lovely sounding uncommon word.. but somewhere along the way I felt the sincerity being consumed by the words themselves. This bothered me.

So, lately, because the sincerity, especially towards the extraordinary subject of most of my poems, is very important to me, I’ve been trying to speak with my plain voice, without becoming artless, because I think it resonates more strongly and more honestly (though am limited, as she is magnitudes of beauty beyond what I can ever put into words).

The purpose being primarily to celebrate what she does to me and how wonderful she is and celebrate the word and form second to that :)

It’s gratifying to think, based on your words, most recently, and others, in the recent past, that I’m not completely off base :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you :)
