Things you may be overlooking:

1 Electing as President a highly qualified public servant who happens to be female would be hugely disruptive in DC, as our federal government, like our society is pervaded by misogyny.

2 You have a rather partisan view of conscience. Surely people of good conscience can conclude we need attention to civil right, which, unlike natural rights, because they require active involvement from government and law.

3 The 14th A to the Constitution, which guarantees civil rights to all citizens needs as much reinvigoration as any other part of the Constitution.
