Stop Floundering in After Project Glow: How to Find your Focus
The last several months have been a whirlwind of activities, from the Hell School tour to the Online Author Showcase, to B2B CyCon, it has been one awesome event after another. The beauty of being busy and having clear deadlines is that it is easy to focus. You know what needs to be done next, and you have a clear deadline.
The last couple of weeks were spent catching up on the day-to-day, and now I find myself breathing, and caught up and… lacking focus.
Which is just silly, because I have a huge file full of things I “need to do” (Yes, that is literally the name of the folder.) But none of them have set deadlines.
Having that folder helps me to find my focus when I go through slow patches without clear deadlines.
Planning the next event is also a great way to find my focus. I am setting up a list of book signings around the Northwest, and focusing on each step of getting those events set up has been incredibly helpful in finding focus.
Picking the next project to get done and setting deadlines around that project is another way to find focus. I am working on the audiobook of The Hunters. Just finished the recording and now on to editing!
Meditating and working out also are great ways to help find your focus.
