Over the last two years or longer, many single heterosexual men in what is known as The Manosphere tend to follow a number of audio and video podcasters via the Internet whose content primarily centers on dating advice for singles.

Among them, The Fresh & Fit podcast series (featuring Hosts Amrou Fudl aka Myron Gaines and Walter Weekes) is very popular among Millennials and Generation Z, and YouTuber and Instagram superstar Kevin Samuels is extremely popular among Black women who are 35 years of age and older and interested in learning how to attract a ‘High Value Man,’ which is an eligible bachelor who is college educated, earns at least $100,000 per year in income, and has no criminal record or children out-of-wedlock.

The BlogTalkRadio Internet Radio Network launched in August 2006 and made it its mission to make both internet radio and podcasting seem extra easy for the users of the platform. BlogTalkRadio advertised that all men and women needed was a high quality telephone, a high quality internet connection, and a high amount of charisma and personality in order to become successful on their platform.

One host on the BlogTalkRadio Internet Radio Network that experienced a quick rise in popularity because of his content and his entertaining personality was Author and Dating Coach Alan Roger Currie.

Currie, otherwise known as The Godfather of Direct Verbal Game Advice & Wisdom and The King of Verbal Seduction & Kinky Erotic Dirty Talk, is best known for his book titled Mode One: Let the Women Know What You’re REALLY Thinking which has been a popular best-seller among men in The Manosphere since 1999 and his more recent book, No FREE Attention: How Women use The Possibility of Sex to Manipulate Naïve and Lustful Men.

Currie’s advice centers on men being upfront and straightforwardly honest with women regarding their true romantic and strictly sexual desires, interests, and intentions (particularly as it relates to the pursuit of casual sex in today’s “hookup culture”).

Currie’s internet radio and podcast program on BlogTalkRadio was titled Upfront & Straightforward with Alan Roger Currie, and was active between June 2007 and June 2016. During that time period, Currie’s podcast series became a “Who’s Who” of interviews with guests who were professional dating & relationships advice book authors, dating coaches, filmmakers, professional pickup artists (PUAs), and self-help experts mixed in with interviews with social media influencers and Hollywood celebrities.

Many of the topics discussed during many of the interviews were before their time, and Currie’s podcast was not held to the same exact FCC standards of more conventional broadcast talk radio shows (in other words, Currie felt free to use adult language during his interviews with his male and female guests). Currie also created an adults-only spinoff podcast series where he exclusively interviewed female guests titled The Erotic Conversationalist.
