Dorking gets its into the Christmas (Window Competition) spirit in the lead up to Small Business Saturday, 1st December — and we want to hear from you! Scroll down to see the 26 businesses participating in the Window Competition. These windows are also listed on our website at https://www.dorkingtownpartnership.co.uk/christmas-window-competition.html.

How to participate

The public may vote via text 88802: Dorking “Store Name” for a chance to win one of five £100 vouchers to be spent in any shop in Dorking. Standard text rates apply. We have posted photos of the 26 businesses who are participating in our contest.

Support Dorking small businesses by recognising their value to the community, our town, and our history by shopping local this Christmas.

It all kicked off with Dorking’s Christmas Festival on Sunday, 25th November.

Approximately 25 percent of annual sales happen during the holiday season. We are hoping people will support local businesses and shop local this year for the holidays. You can start by visiting our Christmas Festival on Sunday, the 25th November from 12–6pm.

The Dorking Town Partnership is hosting a competition to find the best Christmas window display in Dorking. Local businesses have been invited to participate, and all entrants will be invited to a private reception hosted by the White Horse Dorking at 5:30pm on 1 Dec.

Sir Paul Beresford, local Mole Valley MP will serve as judge for the Most Festive Window and will visit Dorking on Small Business Saturday. Public judging officially commenced 25th to 30th November. Businesses are eligible for two awards, Most Festive Window and People’s Choice Award (by public vote).
