Kind of amazing how much music is a staple in my day-to-day. As a former musician/performer, It’s really hard work. You spend countless hours, days, weeks perfecting your craft. You need to pay rent not only for your home but for your rehearsal space too. Driving to gigs from city-to-city. It’s hard work!

This is a bit dated and is in reference to iTunes. Spotify pays $.0014 per play. A million plays for 1 song will get you roughly $1000. AppleMusic is not too different.

Can you imagine how hard it is to get a thousand?

The music business is broken if the very artists aren’t able to make a decent living.

There’s a problem that needs to be solved here.
