What is Missing in the Blockchain Revolution?
Erik P.M. Vermeulen

I may be dumb, but I don’t see the blockchain “revolution” happening. Here’s my two cents on the subject.

First and foremost: What problem does it solve? Basically a way to do transactions without having to trust a third party. Maybe like in a odd couple diffie-hellman way.

Second: But what is that worth? I see and believe the value, but I don see it as something “big” in itself. I believe blockchain as a commodity. Handy and useful, but not something to build a big business on. It could be part of some bigger solution, think Bitcoin.

But if you looking for a problem to solve, don’t start with blockchain.

If you keep focusing on “I want to make big money out of blockchain” you will probably fail.

(blockchain) Winter is coming ;-)
