we each live in a bubble
Imagine bubbles floating on the water or in the air. They emerge and disappear. Sometimes they combine and grow together. Our lives are like these bubbles. I was recently able to enter into a very different kind of bubble.
A baby is dying in the children’s hospital. It happens every day. But this time it hits close to home. This baby is my nephew Walt, and his parents are going through the worst kind of pain. Walt’s organs are failing and he is not eligible for a heart transplant.
These kinds of experiences in life are sobering. They teach and remind us what is important in life.
I like to believe I will meet Walt again some day in a different place. We love you Walt. You are a great teacher for those who are willing to learn.
