Obviously there are different kinds of facts. They operate on different levels. Some are anecdotal and personal whereas others, like statistics describe the situation in general. Both can be true. Humans often fall into the trap of assuming some larger force is at play, usually because our sense of what constitutes tangible evidence is what we come into direct contact with.
