Well said. I’m amazed at how myopic this approach is. He’s a democratically elected president that close enough to half the country voted for and yet they refuse to have anything like respect for the outcome. I’d like to hear someone turn around and acknowledge ‘ok maybe we could have at least not shut down absolutely every conversation about immigration with accusations of racism’ or ‘ok maybe you have the right to be concerned about terrorism considering 9/11 and other attacks’. In a sane conversation neither of those statements would be controversial, nor would they be a concession of any kind. They would simply be an example to the ‘other side’ of what they themselves, supposedly stand for.
