When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Hand on your heart, when was the last time you did something out of your comfort zone, something which gave you butterflies and made you giddy? An action, event or activity which made you want to bite your nails and which captured your entire and complete attention. When was the last time you actually sat down and planned to do something new and exciting which would challenge you and give you an outrageous zest for life and an incredible sense of freedom?

It’s probably been a while. You’re not alone. Realistically, we get caught up in our routine, kind of like a hamster running on a wheel — moving fast but going no where. Living on the fast track gets us stuck in our ways, and to make matters worse, when a long day comes to an end our comfort zone sure feels amazing. We wouldn’t dream of doing something out of the ordinary, we’re way to exhausted to even consider it.

How will the story end?

Well I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the ending probably won’t be thrilling. We’re meant to be building memories, creating life stories full of heart-felt experiences which we will cherish forever, so if we’re not going out on the limb and pushing ourselves to try new things, well our story will probably end with buckets of regret.

Let’s rock the boat & jazz things up. Let’s live on the edge.

Shall we? Oh come on — let’s! Take it as far as you’d like. It could be as simple as trying out a new bold and bright lipstick all the way up to going to the airport and boarding the next flight. No matter we choose to do, ultimately the point is to be aware and not let routine or fear define us, let’s keep ourselves intrigued, let’s let curiously lead the way and let’s live. Life is short and our job is to make now be as fabulous and fascinating as ever.
