Ohio steelworker tells Trump, “We don’t need you.”
After Donald Trump bought millions in Chinese steel, this American steelworker says Trump isn’t the candidate for him.
“I work in the titanium mill in Toronto, Ohio. There’s been a ton of job losses up and down the valley. People have struggled here — we’ve been hit pretty hard by the recession.
“Trump says he’ll help steelworkers in Ohio, that he’ll invest in us, but he bought Chinese steel for his hotels in Las Vegas. He bought around $350 million dollars of aluminum for his hotels in Chicago. That was in 2009, around the time when we lost one of the biggest smelters in the country, right down the river from me. That money could have gone to us, to products that are made here in Ohio. If we’re not buying our own products, then we’re not working.

“I support Hillary because she stands up for hard-working American families, and for workers like us in Eastern Ohio. She stands up for women’s rights and for education. She played a big role in CHIP and in the ACA, both of which do a lot of good. Her plans for infrastructure and manufacturing will actually help this country.
“Hillary is the true champion of the middle class. She’s what we need. We don’t need Trump.”
