I do not know why my grandmother didn’t buy long-term care insurance. Maybe she didn’t know about it? Maybe she couldn’t afford it? Maybe she planned on dying in her home & life just doesn’t always work that way? My understanding is that long-term care insurance doesn’t cover everything anyways.
With all due respect, if you do not like emotional appeals, then why did you read this?

I completely agree, and that’s why it’s been difficult to understand exactly what I’m feeling. I guess I’m wondering if people are writing think pieces that don’t need to be written? Are they searching for an angle that doesn’t need to be made? Are they only doing it because it’s trendy? I don’t know. I don’t know every intention and don’t want to pretend that I do.
