With the recent launch of the largest outdoor ad campaign in Bay Area history, Hirect hasn’t just made a marketing splash, but a cannonball. Tasked with guiding the wave of this complex campaign and charting the creative strategy ahead is veteran marketer Stephanie Lovell, Hirect’s new Head of Marketing.

“There’s a chance to really get in on the ground floor of this company and have a significant impact on the brand, the marketing strategy, and the success of Hirect as a whole,” said Lovell on what attracted her most to the young startup revolutionizing the hiring and recruiting space.

A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University, Lovell previously held senior level marketing roles at fintech decacorn, Brex, and global asset manager, State Street Global Advisors, a division of Fortune 500 company, StateStreet. She also worked as a commercial producer at ION Television, a top 10-ranked U.S. entertainment network, supporting major brands such as PepsiCo, AT&T, and Procter & Gamble.

“Career progression-wise, this is definitely a challenge and it’s something I’m excited about,” she said. “I have a very entrepreneurial attitude, so I look at this opportunity and am eager to dive right in. I think Hirect has a very bright future; we have a really amazing team in house already and we’re only going to grow from here.”

Lovell’s expertise spans the full marketing spectrum, ranging from building and scaling teams to producing large scale creative campaigns from ideation to completion. With a short-term focus on establishing greater brand awareness and integrity, Lovell believes an integral step will be to rapidly but responsibly grow Hirect’s in-house marketing talent.

“Scaling the team is one challenge that’s very top of mind,” she said. “I’m a people-person at heart so I’m delighted to nurture and help build the team up. The other challenge is continuously finessing the product so that it remains something that consumers truly love, making it a solution that’s always the go-to for the founder and startup communities.”

It’s the product Lovell is most enthusiastic to help mold, from expanding on unique transparency features for job seekers, such as required pay bands for all job listings, to exploring new ways to make the hiring process simpler, quicker, and more efficient for both candidates and founders.

“Inside the product itself, the experience is meant to be done within a few days to either get a job filled or find a job, instead of the typical three to four week timeline,” Lovell added. “That’s incredibly exciting and there are foundational things we’ll always look to improve, those key traits of the product that are disrupting the traditional processes.”

Away from Hirect, Lovell enjoys exploring the natural wonders around her Pacific Northwest home, immersing herself in a great dystopian sci-fi novel, and cheering on her New England Patriots from 3,000 miles away.
