Hirola Charity of the Year Initiative
We’re excited to announce we have kicked off our Charity of the Year initiative with our winning charity Soundabout!
What is the Charity of the Year?
As a team we wanted to come up with a way to have a positive impact and a charity fun run didn’t feel like it would do the job long term. The goal of Charity of the Year is for our team to donate our skills and expertise in the digital marketing and design space to empower and help a charity grow. From working with our clients we know the impact that strategy driven digital marketing can have. Over the course of the year we will work with our chosen Charity of the Year to reap the rewards of those benefits.
So who are Soundabout?
We had some fantastic charities to choose from and it was a tough decision to pick just one, but the submission from Soundabout really spoke to our team and we unanimously decided that they were the right charity for us to work with as our inaugural Charity of the Year.
Soundabout aim to ‘unlock’ the potential of people with severe and profound learning difficulties by helping them to use music to communicate and interact with their wider world. Set up in 1997 in Oxford, the organisation now runs a UK-wide training programme as well as community music sessions with a range of organisations such as schools and festivals, encouraging participants to try making music in a relaxed environment.
We chose Soundabout as we were looking to work with a small independent charity who don’t currently have a digital marketing team and would really see the benefits of what we can offer.
It’s a critical time for Soundabout in terms of building awareness and growing their potential network and allowing them to improve the lives of people with complex learning difficulties and their families. They have some fantastic and exciting goals for the year ahead which we’re excited to use our skills to help them realise.
So what are we going to be doing for Soundabout?
We’ll definitely be doing some core work such as managing their Google Ads account and Google Analytics, we’ll also be doing an audit of their current offering and making recommendations. We’ve already got some ideas we’re excited to move forwards with and some other things in the works. Watch this space!
