HistoryDAO Raises Seed Funding From Chain Capital & Consensus Lab
First-of-its-kind platform for minting, trading, and collecting History NFTs
In support of an ambitious mission to leverage the power of blockchain for recording history more indelibly and immutably than any previous record made by humankind, HistoryDAO has raised an initial round of funding from Chain Capital and Consensus Lab, two investment funds dedicated to Web3 projects.
The investment will stake the platform’s native HIST tokens which exchange value for functions such as project governance, issuing NFTs, community verification of NFTs, award voting, and a concept for “Initial NFT Offerings” (INOs).
HistoryDAO is a first-of-its-kind platform for minting, trading, and collecting NFTs specifically meant to preserve moments of history. Mint a single moment by uploading headlines, articles, text, and images to forever enshrine them for posterity. HistoryDAO NFTs can also be grouped into series as “HistoryNFT Chronologies.” This is accomplished by crowdfunding Initial NFT Offerings (INOs) dedicated to a defined series of events, tournaments, competitions, elections, or any other organizing factors.
HistoryNFTs and the HIST token may be bought, sold, and traded in the HistoryDAO marketplace.
