“Becoming a writer is far too difficult,” I told myself for the thousandth time as I pounded my head against my hand for good measure, “I really need to give this up.”
It’s a mantra now, but it never sinks in.
No matter how difficult it may be, I never feel more alive when I open the door to a world previously kept caged in my head.
I just need a focus.
Well, here it is. My first thing is a reminder to myself that I need to follow what my heart screams at me to do, not what my brain fears.
Time to be fearless like the countless heroes and heroines I write as.
