NY Times recently did a post about napping on the job: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/23/smarter-living/take-naps-at-work-apologize-to-no-one.html.

Not the best of articles (https://theculturetrip.com/asia/japan/articles/asleep-on-the-job-japans-inemuri-phenomenon/) but I’ve read before that Japanese have ‘coffee’ shops where you can go and take a proper ‘power nap’ (approx 22–26 minutes) and then continue being productive.

True, this is something that our culture frowns upon, but I guess the way more results-oriented cultures/organizations have figured out that it makes no sense for you to sit on your butt and do nothing but trying to keep yourself awake with yet another shot of coffee/red-bull/name-your-poison. Some ‘new age’ stuff is fluff, but some we may reconsider implementing if we want to reach the ‘next level’…

I vouch for the power naps wholeheartedly.

A pro tip would be to get a ‘shot’ of your favorite caffeinated drink before you lay down for the nap. The caffeine will kick in at about the same time you’ll start to wake up (22–26mins), giving you that extra “I feel so refreshed and invincible right now” feeling :)
