‘All Hands on Devops’ Meet Up — Tuesday 24th October

On Tuesday 24th October, Hotels.com are hosting the 11th edition of the popular ‘All Hands on DevOps’ meet up group. With a community of over 1, 300 DevOps’ers, they have held past events at companies like Shazam, and we are excited to host the next meetup at the fab Hotels.com offices!

What can you expect on the evening;

Hotels.com’s Chris Rice, Director of Platform, will be kicking off proceedings with his talk, ‘From Fish To Fishing Rod: The Hotels.com DevOps Journey’

He will be discussing how a large distributed global organisation is shifting from a centralised operations model to providing capabilities for teams to truly service themselves and live the DevOps mindset.

Following on from Chris, we have Sarndeep Nijjar, Lead Test Architect on BP Modernise IT programme talking on ‘ATDD/BDD approaches to Infrastructure Automation’. He will look at how ATDD/BDD development practices and techniques can help us write better infrastructure automation code.

And, of course, on the evening there will be beer, wine, pizza and lots of opportunity to network with fellow DevOps’ers.
