Lot of good comments hinting on the meaningless of left and right distinctions. The “left” needs a clear vision that can be uniting and sheds reference to Marxism. (Marxism = great analysis and horrible politics.) The “right” no longer corresponds to Burkian conservatism and has little intellectual coherence. That is what doomed centrism.
