Slack has totally transformed the way we work here at HubSpot.

At a company like HubSpot, Slack provides presence-replacement so that our remote employees feel like they are still in the same room as you. Not only does Slack enable them to be as well informed as non-remote employees, but Slack also enables them to remain active and important members of the team.

Slack has become a hub of collaboration for our team.

In the same way that a tool like Looker consolidates all of our data, Slack is our consolidator of information, action items, and the tools needed to get the job done.

For example, we have a Slack channel that streams live NPS (net promoter score) alerts from our customers. The channel has hundreds of HubSpotters watching, so not surprisingly, the alerts are quickly tagged to a specific employee for their attention. The real time nature of Slack makes it easier than ever to put the customer first.

HubSpot isn’t alone in our transformation story. Slack has over eight million daily users, with more than 70,000 teams paying for its services.

And today, it’s easier than ever for you to use HubSpot right where you are — in Slack.

HubSpot’s Integration with Slack

We want our customers to be able to work where they want to work. Whether that be on desktop or mobile, from within Gmail or Outlook, collaborating in the physical workspace or collaborating on Slack.

HubSpot should live where you work — so that you can work where you live.

Slack is expanding their API offerings and is inviting companies to integrate with their platform. Naturally, we at HubSpot jumped at the chance to contribute.

Now, with the Slack integration, your HubSpot CRM lives in Slack, too.

Yes, this is going to make your sales reps very happy. HubSpot’s new Slack integration saves reps time, eliminates the frustration of switching from one tool the next, and streamlines data entry.

With this integration, a rep can create a Task and associate it with a contact, company, or deal in HubSpot — from directly within Slack.

You can also use the new integration to stay connected to activities in your HubSpot CRM by receiving notifications within Slack triggered by HubSpot activities such as mentions, follows, reminders, form submissions, and more.

Use slash commands to search for a HubSpot CRM contact or provide feedback to the HubSpot team about the Slack integration — all without leaving Slack.

When our different software products can work together in a more frictionless way, software becomes more like a human friend. With this new integration, HubSpot and Slack work together to keep your busy day productive and smooth.

This is only the beginning of a strong relationship between HubSpot and Slack.

GrowthBot, a personal assistant for marketing and sales, helps you become more efficient by placing information and common marketing and sales tasks via text interfaces, including Slack. Coming this June, look out for some exciting developments in how Slack will be involved with HubSpot’s launch of Conversations — a universal inbox that helps teams connect with prospects and customers at scale.

After that? We’ll continue to work with Slack in order to find ways for our companies to integrate in order to help you grow better.
