I completely agree that cell phone video footage is only a benefit, but I think in the near future when technology privacy comes up, people will question public video taking and this will give police leverage to try and get rid of it. I would hope that there becomes a specific law in that case saying something along the lines of its ok to take public video footage if you are catching someone such as a police officer committing a crime.
