Gram Games’ Six! passes two million downloads in under one week and becomes the number one free game on iOS in the US

1st September, 2016 — Six!, the latest hit from Gram Games, the creators of 1010! and Merged!, has soared past the 2M download mark in under a week on iOS after reaching its first million downloads in four days. The hugely popular game also hit the number one free App on the Apple App Store in the US, and has achieved five other number one spots including the UK.

Achieving 2M downloads in under a week is another staggering success for the mobile games developer and publisher, further cementing the studio’s place as a consistent hitmaker in mobile games publishing. This is the first Gram Games title to reach the incredible heights of the number one spot in the US, one of the greatest early benchmarks for success any free to play mobile game can achieve.

Six! hit the 2M downloads mark and then the number one spot in free to play games in the US, a week after being featured on the App Store on the first day of its release. The game instantly achieved a significant amount of press coverage, and has continued to gain impressive momentum. The game was launched on Friday, August 26th, 2016, and cleared 2M on Thursday and hit number one spot in the free chart, September 1st. Six! has only been released on iOS (so far), but Android users: don’t panic. Six! will be available for all of you within the next few weeks.

Six! is the latest hit title from a team that has without doubt cracked the mobile market. Thanks to the mobile game classics 1010! and Merged!, Gram Games has reached over 85 Million players around the world, and the number keeps growing as new games hit the global market. Just like with Six! — which hit seven figure downloads within four days.

Six! is is a simple, yet exciting (while sometimes infuriating) game that is great for one minute bursts or hours of fun. In ‘Six!’ you are faced with a tower of variously shaped bricks, on top of which sits a hexagonal block. The aim is to get the hexagon down the tower of blocks, earning more points the lower you get. In order to get lower down, you must tap the blocks which will remove them, freeing space for the hexagon to fall into.

It sounds simple, but if the blocks are removed unevenly, the tower will start to lean and crumble. And, if the hexagon comes off either side, it’s game over. The combined pressure of beating your own score, your friend’s scores and the global leaderboard will keep you playing for hours in this thrilling, challenging, and somehow still simple puzzle game. This game is definitely fun, but claiming top spot on the leaderboard can be a challenge.

Mehmet Ecevit, CEO of Gram Games said, “We have developed a trail to market and have learned a lot from previous launches. What makes us a unique publisher is our ability to replicate our successes. We are more excited by the consistency and the progress we made than the figure itself — we reach the million mark faster and faster every time we launch a new game. The team has worked so hard on this and they deserve the praise.’’

‘’We are proud to have achieved this figure so quickly and reached that number one spot on iOS in the US, the team is excited to see what new heights we can achieve when it is also available for Android. In the end, however, we like to think that as a team, we have simply managed to put a smile on the faces of 2M people in just a week. That makes us smile, too.”
