Gentrification — When investing in your community becomes white privilege.

On a recent trip to San Francisco, I came up with a new definition of gentrification. As a picture is worth a thousand words. I’ll just leave you with these two images and a thought:

Is it racism or classism that is the driver behind gentrification? Are the socioeconomic of a person more important than the color of their skin…or am I just over thinking this?
